You CHOSE to attend the THRIVE Conference this past weekend ~ Way to go!
You CHOSE to spend your time, your money, and your energy in Providence, Rhode Island with thousands of other disciples.
You CHOSE to invest in your relationship with God, in his Kingdom, and in your relationships with other brothers and sisters.
You CHOSE to listen to classes that challenged you, inspired you, called you higher, and motivated you to walk with God more powerfully than ever before.
You CHOSE to attend a true mountaintop experience…
Take it all in…
It is Monday morning and prayerfully you have made it back home safely. You have come from the mountaintop, BUT if your life is anything like Moses, Elijah, or Jesus, you already have (or will shortly) face the trials of the valley.
How will you handle ‘LIFE’ in the valley?
What needs to happen for you to be able to look back in 30 days and still have your THRIVE alive?
It’s NOT a change in your circumstances, your summer plans, or anything else; it’s your choices.
“I am not a product of my circumstances, I am a product of my decisions.” ~ S. Covey
Now that you are back, what choices are available to you when it comes to your walk with God?
In Luke 10, Jesus comments on the choices made by Martha and Mary:
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:31-42
The valley presents many options for us.
We can choose worry, overwhelm, and frustration, or we can choose something better. These women both had the same set of circumstances facing them, but they each made a different choice.
You’ve already made choices that have lead you on a path to thriving by attending this conference – how will you keep the ball rolling?
Chose what is better.
What is the one “better” choice you will make today to keep Jesus before you in the valley?
“The constant, unproductive preoccupation with all the things we have to do in the future, is the single largest consumer of time and energy.” ~ Kerry Gleeson
Don’t get overwhelmed by all the things you have to do – you heard A LOT over the past few days.
THRIVING is a life-long process that starts with your choice now.
Choose what is better and enjoy the process,
